She draws her inspiration from photo collections, history and analogue techniques. Her work is rooted in the need to understand photography and explore its inherent structure. The subtle manipulations found in her work generates a new authentic image that address issues associated with representation and authorship. Her hand-made collages encompass the surrealist impulse of simplistic combinations that rejuvenates the forms associated with 1960s abstract paintings. Extending the collage with sculpture and synthetic materials has allowed her to use space as a form of communication between image and object. By distorting the use of material and photo, her collages go back in history and take images that were iconic and bring them into a space where everything is relevant, all at once, and in any order you like.
