How do you usually get inspired again after working on a big project/painting?
Working on a big project such as an upcoming exhibition has me painting alone in my studio many hours a day, many days or weeks on end. When it' complete I need to get away for a few days. Perhaps a mini vacation or at least a weekend away to get a total change of scenery. Then I come back totally recharged and ready to get back to painting again.
Do you collect things?
I've collected many things over the years. Bottles, sea shells, beach glass, rocks. Lately I've started collecting vintage cook books.
What's the last great book you read?
The Alchemist by Paul Coelho
What super power do you want to have?
Is flying considered a super power? I'd love to fly like a bird.
What the craziest thing you’ve done when you were a child?
I would like to time travel and visit with some of my favorite artists of the past. Spending time with them in their studios, speaking with them and watching them paint would be a dream come true. Edward Hopper, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Matisse, just to name a few.
